Primrose
Changing Spaces Interior Design was commissioned to oversee the renovation, finishes, furnishings, joinery, and custom furniture design for this elegant family home. The goal was to transform a nearly blank canvas into a space rich with personality and character. Bespoke rugs, exquisite lighting, masterfully crafted joinery, and custom designed furnishings—all executed to perfection—elevate this project to a true high-end masterpiece.
De Wet
This newly built penthouse apartment, an exquisite space offering sweeping views of the ocean in Fresnaye, was thoughtfully designed to complement the remarkable vistas beyond the expansive patio. This penthouse is an exceptional retreat — designed not only to impress guests but also to serve as a serene getaway for the family when visiting Cape Town.

Cheryl’s home, Sandpiper, is a true reflection of her passion for beauty, nature, and artistry. Every corner of the space tells a story, from the carefully selected fabrics and vibrant prints to the soothing palette of greens and naturals that grace the interiors. Her affinity for the tactile and visual world is evident in the way she has seamlessly woven together a collection of textiles that evoke warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging.

Changing Spaces was entrusted with the renovation and refurbishment of this cherished family home, with a design brief focused on creating a warm, inviting space infused with character. Understanding our client’s love for color and pattern, lead designer Cheryl embraced a near-maximalist approach, layering textures, hues, and bespoke elements to craft a home brimming with personality.
CS Studio
Welcome to our newly reimagined interior design office, where creativity seamlessly blends with functionality in a space designed to inspire. The transformation brings a fresh, contemporary aesthetic that prioritizes both style and practicality. Warmth and texture are introduced through slatted oak panels on the walls, which lend an organic touch to the modern design.
Decorex Showcase
We were proudly awarded the Decorex Spotlight Stand for 2023. We created a natural, tranquil living area and bedroom – spaces that are timeless, welcoming and inviting, yet layered with interest and character by adding tons of texture and unique pieces.
Fresnaye
Contemporary with clean lines and no frills, with a colour palette of black, white and rusty tones. This apartment finds the perfect balance between black and white, and modern and contemporary. The client was blown away by the end result.
Des Huguenots
A little country and a little homely. Tones of greens, whites and neutrals, and wood and glass for warmth. The result is a very welcoming space with lots of character and layers of textures.
Le Chateaux
The colour palette is monochromatic with only touches of soft pinks to accentuate the space. Beautiful hand crafted furnishings completes the look and stunning fabrics and wall paper brings it all together.
St Francis Bay
The brief was to keep it relaxed and homely with lots of interest. We used a palette of stunning fabrics and leathers in neutral shades, greens and white with some tans as well. The overall feel is one of warmth, comfort and tactility, adding a lot character in each area.
Harold Ashwell
A true home away from home at this holiday home in Melkbosstrand. We made sure the interiors were comfortable and relaxed – inviting to their family and friends and the perfect design and finishes for entertaining and large gatherings.
St Johns
Nestled near the slopes of Lion’s Head, this apartment in Fresnaye received a complete renovation – from new joinery in the kitchen to a brand new master en-suite bathroom – this luxurious apartment has gained charm, sophistication and comfort all in one.
CAF
Clara Anna Fontein Lifestyle Estate is a luxurious estate on the slopes of the tranquil Durbanville Hills in Cape Town. We were thrilled to bring this blank canvas to life for our clients with brass, greens and carefully curated decorative pieces.
Driftwood
We were appointed to do the interior design and decor for a beautiful family and wanted to inject tons of character, warmth and glamour into their home, reflecting their personalities and lifestyle. Every little detail was carefully considered making this home a truly unique space.
Ruyteplaats
This family home to the owners and their two little girls is the perfect space for them to spend time and relax. We made sure that every area is used by making it all cohesive with continuity in the design. The breathtaking views of the bay below makes this a truly spectacular location and we wanted to make sure not to detract from that.
Melrose Arch
Our client wanted a total refurbishment of their apartment in Johannesburg and we were excited to turn this space from drab to fab. We designed beautiful joinery for their lounge and created luxurious bedrooms. All items were designed to perfectly fit the space making this apartment truly bespoke and one of a kind.
Illovo
Creating spaces which stirs up emotional feelings when you step into it is important and at our Illovo project it is pure joy from the moment you walk in the front door. This home exudes class and elegance. The perfect mix of colours, textures, patterns and furnishings compliment one another while creating a striking canvas that fits our client’s personalities.
Karoo Dorps Airstream
We are proud to introduce the newly re-imagined, revamped Karoo Dorps Airstream Trailer by Changing Spaces Interior Design. Pulling inspiration by the Karoo and the famous Route 62 in our design throughout.
Boundary Road
This one of a kind home in Johannesburg shines from the moment you enter the gates. This home draws inspiration from nature with hues of greens, a variety of textures and a modern contemporary style that works perfectly to create a comfortable space to enjoy and call home.
City Bowl
This newly renovated and decorated apartment in the City Bowl belongs to a very special young man. A contrast of bold colours and the use of slatted joinery details adds layers and interest to this apartment that it previously lacked.
Burgess
We wanted to bring a touch of elegance and luxury glam to this breath taking newly constructed home in Atlantic Beach. A goal that we achieved by using gorgeous wallpapers, textures and striking furniture designs while keeping a timeless colour palette in the living room space.
Waters Edge
A beautiful home for a beautiful family. We chose the accessories, lamps and decorative items carefully to complement the fabrics, colour palette and furnishings in this home to bring about a gorgeous end result that screams comfortability and style.
Aquarius
Renovation Aquarius was all about giving this dreary old looking apartment a fresh new look and feel. We used a variety of different colour palettes in the bedrooms while keeping a continuous colour flow of black, white, rust and navy blue in the open space living areas.

“Classic Beauty” is the term that comes to mind the moment you step into our gorgeous Watsonia Project in Cape Town. With classic designs contrasted with eye-catching patterns, rich colours and finishes, this home takes elegant classic glam to another level.

Situated near the gorgeous Durbanville Hills, this newly renovated family home went from seriously fatigued to absolutely renewed and refreshed. We brought a more modern contemporary look and feel to the space while still keeping the overall home comfy and warm. The perfect combination to enjoy family life together and make special memories in a place that is truly the perfect home.
